GM Canada Sales Up Again in September
Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 24,960 vehicles in September 2015 versus 24,555 in September 2014, an increase of 2 per cent. Total GM Canada sales for the 2015 calendar year to date are up 5.5 per cent.
John Roth, vice president, sales, service and marketing for GM Canada said, “Our sales growth continues to be led by Canadians’ love of our Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks which were up 15 per cent in September, while our Cadillac sales increased 35 per cent.”
Technology continues to place our brands ahead of the competition. The integration of 4G LTE technology on more than 30 Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles offers our customers mobile data speeds of up to 10 times faster than 3G. Customers are showing great interest in the ability of GM vehicles to act as Wi-Fi hot spots, allowing them to connect up to seven different devices.
September 2015 Brand Sales Highlights:
- Chevrolet sales grew again in September driven by sales of the Impala (up 39 per cent), Corvette (up 48 per cent), Equinox (up 19 per cent), Traverse (up 19 per cent), Suburban (up 222 per cent) and Chevrolet’s pickup truck portfolio which is up 23 per cent calendar year to date
- Buick Regal sales were up 12 per cent and Verano sales were up 9 per cent for the month
- GMC total sales are up 5 per cent for the month, fueled by GMC’s pickup truck portfolio which is up 18 per cent for the month
- Cadillac sales for the month of September were up 35 per cent, driven by sales of the SRX (up 47 per cent) and Escalade (up 50 per cent), ATS (up 21 per cent) and XTS (up 162 per cent)
Data is not adjusted for the difference in selling days; September 2015 had 25 selling days and September 2014 had 24 selling days.
